MedCouture® Lab Coats are made using BioSmart™ technology by Milliken®
BINDS CHLORINE* TO KILL GERMS™. The chlorine bleach bound to
MedCouture® lab coats kills Staph, Hepatitus A and EColi and helps to
provent fabric contamination. They are designed to laundered in the
home washer with an EPA registered chlorine bleach and ready-to-wear
out of the dryer. It will retain its charge for up to 2 weeks between
washes.
MedCouture® Lab Coats recharge after every wash and work
throughout the day. Our lab coats capture and retain the disinfecting
powers of chlorine bleach*. What if you forget to use the chlorine
bleach? No worries, just wash it with chlorine bleach to recharge!
MetCouture® was conceived, developed and designed by
physicians that trained at UT Southwestern in Dallas, TX. Like you, the
physicians behind MedCouture® work 60+ hours a week taking care of
patients. They know the importance of fit, comfort, tyle and
convenience in our professional apparel. They have no time to waste on
dry cleaning either. MedCouture's® lab coats are made of soft-touch
twill that is stain and wrinkle resistant.
BioSmart is a patent pending textile technology developed by
Milliken Research. It is applied to fabric and binds chlorine on the
molecular level to kill common bacteria and viruses like Salmonella, E.
coli, Staph, and Hepatitis A. Here’s how. When laundered as directed
with an EPA-registered chlorine bleach, BioSmart binds the chlorine to
its surface, which then kills bacteria on contact by invading their
cells.
For medical professionals, BioSmart technology is available in MedCouture® Lab Coats by Peaches Uniforms.
BioSmartTM Effectiveness Study
BioSmart,
charged with chlorine bleach, has shown a 3 log reduction of selected
bacteria and viruses in laboratory testings at 3 and 24 hours. The
treated textile has also shown a resistance to antichlor, a chemistry
used in industrial laundering to remove free chlorine at the end of the
wash cycle. |
